Tim Andrews

It was great to have the opportunity to have creative fun when taking pictures of Tim. He decided to start a project to have pictures taken of himself when he was diagnosed with having Parkinsons disease so it seemed appropriate to me to include a mirror in the set up of some of the shots to illustrate the idea of looking closely at ones self. Tim doesn’t take himself too seriously so I also wanted to convey a sense of humanity and humour, which is where the idea of holding a brain came in!

Tim is being photographed 100 times.

Yesterday I was delighted to meet Tim Andrews to discuss a personal photography project which he has been working on for the last few years. Tim has Parkinsons Disease and has been photographed by over 78 photographers, his idea is to get to 100 and then exhibit the images or possibly publish a book. Tim is a very charming and interesting person to spend some time with, having been a Lawyer for over 25 years in the city he now concentrates on living his life to the full doing what he enjoys doing best. I look forward to meeting up with Tim in February to take his picture which he will hopefully decide to add to his already extensive collection.

Please click on the link below to see Tim on the Fourth Plinth in London last year ( as part of an Antony Gormley project – One & Other ) to help raise awareness and funds for the Parkinson’s Disease Society.

What no PBASE?

I apologise to those of you who have been trying to access pictures in my gallery which are stored on a site called PBASE. Unfortunately PBASE is experiencing some technical difficulties following a power cut so you will not be able to access any pictures until they get it sorted. Keep checking back, I am sure they will get it up and running over the next few days.
