Hi, phewee I cannot believe we are already in the middle of February. Time seems to be flying past and I did have plans to write more on my blog this year. I want to share ideas, offer photography tips which I find useful and share a few stories without breaking anyone’s confidence! So hopefully I will find time to introduce more of that and not just use my blog to post pics.

In the mean time here is an image taken from a shoot I did with ‘Nudge Drinks’ a new smoothie company which you will hopefully soon see on your supermarket shelves. Yummy smoothies made with frozen fresh fruit.

Some of my clients put off having a photo shoot because they are nervous, nervous about what is involved. They are worried about posing, insecure about certain parts of their body, unsure as to what to expect, and may have fears about how their images are shared and the confidentiality of the shoot.

It is completely natural to have all of these concerns, and it is my job as your photographer to reassure you and put your mind at ease. I always welcome people to visit me at my studio to talk through any concerns and never put anyone under any pressure to commit to a photo shoot if they are not sure.

I love taking pictures of brothers, sisters and different generations, I try to make my photography about capturing something of that special relationship. Thankfully gone are the days of tense formal family shots, I invite my clients to think imaginatively about their images before the shoot but if they feel like they have no ideas and are nervous about posing then that’s fine too as I am used to helping people pose.

And it didn’t rain! Lucille and Andrew kept everything in the village, getting married at St Marys Church in Wivenhoe, having their Wedding breakfast at The Bakehouse and their evening reception at Wivenhoe Cricket club.

Eric at Colchester Press wanted informal images of himself and his staff team at their work place to use on his website and social media sites. They are very nice people at Colchester Press and I would highly recommend them for printing services.

I was delighted to be invited to take pics at Sadie and Maxine’s official opening, being in the same building as my studio  I look forward to working together in the future. They provide an appointment only service of various beauty treatments including make-up and hair styling, nails, spray tans and lots of other things, just look up their website or if you are in the area go check out their groovy new Brit pop art styly studio at the Hythe Quay, Colchester. Floors of Old a company based in Hertfordshire, asked me to take some  more pics of one of their beautiful floors. They supplied and fitted this floor in the National Portrait Museum Restaurant. I was amazed to see so may landmarks from their windows, lovely staff and nice views worth a look if you are in the area.
