Street Photography in Holland

We took advantage of the good weather and flew off to Holland for a long w.end, I decided to pick just one lens my 35mm Prime to take as I know I have done this in the past especially with a lens I don’t often use to just remind myself of its capabilities and strengths. I was determined to try out a bit of street photography, something I have been nervous of in the past, I never want to upset or offend anyone by pointing the camera but at the same time I do love to take pictures of people just doing real things in the moment.

Lee Taylor – Pro Tax Accounting

Lee approached me a while back after seeing my business photography website he recently came back to the studio looking for some images which he can use for promotional material and newsletters. Lee is not your average accountant, each time someone refers a client to him the company gives money to Charity, he is extremely helpful and approachable and never makes accounting sound dull. Everyone is nervous about having a shoot…

Some of my clients put off having a photo shoot because they are nervous, nervous about what is involved. They are worried about posing, insecure about certain parts of their body, unsure as to what to expect, and may have fears about how their images are shared and the confidentiality of the shoot.

It is completely natural to have all of these concerns, and it is my job as your photographer to reassure you and put your mind at ease. I always welcome people to visit me at my studio to talk through any concerns and never put anyone under any pressure to commit to a photo shoot if they are not sure.

Family Photography at my Colchester Photo Studio

I love taking pictures of brothers, sisters and different generations, I try to make my photography about capturing something of that special relationship. Thankfully gone are the days of tense formal family shots, I invite my clients to think imaginatively about their images before the shoot but if they feel like they have no ideas and are nervous about posing then that’s fine too as I am used to helping people pose.
