Some may think because the name has the word ‘Essex’ in it that this group of women might possibly all have fake tans and wear white stilettos. In truth it’s actually made up of a diverse mix of business women from all over Essex from one woman bands to franchisee’s. I have been involved with this group since before Xmas 2012 and only have good things to say about it. Being part of EGIB is about being mutually supportive but also helping each other to generate leads and ultimately share business with one another. How refreshing to be able to talk about the birth process and then switch to the subject of managing social networks and no one winces, no one cringes. Its good honest, open stuff. If you haven’t been along I highly recommend it. http://www.essexgirlsinbusiness.com/
The Secret Vintage Fair was held at St. Giles Hall, Colchester yesterday. Despite the cold wintery weather lots of people got out their best vintage frocks to support the cause and help raise money for Movember. Well done to the wonderfully brave @Nastasche who raised over £1k by wearing a stuck on moustache all month! To see the other pics of the event go to my gallery the portrait pics will be coming soon watch this space…
I was delighted to be invited to take pics at Sadie and Maxine’s official opening, being in the same building as my studio I look forward to working together in the future. They provide an appointment only service of various beauty treatments including make-up and hair styling, nails, spray tans and lots of other things, just look up their website or if you are in the area go check out their groovy new Brit pop art styly studio at the Hythe Quay, Colchester. Click here to see the other pics I took on the day.
On Monday evening I went along to take pictures of a networking meeting held at the wonderful Firstsite Gallery in Colchester. The Foundation Works is a networking community for Professionals within the Construction and Property industry in East Anglia. See their website http://www.thefoundationworks.co.uk/.

I have taken pictures of such weird and wonderful things recently, some personal, some private commissions and some joint ventures. From Proms and dance pics to bumps and hedgehogs! I find I don’t always have the time or permission to show all that I do as some people prefer to keep things private which is understandable. Here are some relaxed pics from The Colne Community School Prom night.
Colchester Academy held their Prom at The Weston Homes Stadium in Colchester on Friday. The young people made quite an entrance when they arrived in all sorts ranging from an armoured covered Army Tank looking thing to big old American Chevrolet’s. Hiya,
Just to let you know I will be taking part in The Impact Art Fair which runs from this Friday ( 20th – 22nd ). Last year I had the pleasure to be invited by Tim Andrews to take a photograph of him along with over 100 other photographers for a project called ‘ Over The Hill ‘ . Some of the photographs from the project will be on display at The Impact Art Fair.
Tim suffers from Parkinsons disease if you would like to donate please follow this link: http://www.justgiving.com/tim-andrews2-overthehill
The Impact Art Fair is very easy to find, get off at the underground stop Angel ( Northern Line ) which is only three stops away from Liverpool street, look for The Candid Arts Trust, 3 Torrens Street, EC1V 1NQ.
The fair is free and only runs for three days from this Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd May. It is open from 11am – 6pm. Please come and support marginalised and outsider artists.
Thank you
