One of the good things to come out of this strange and worrying time is that I have had time to focus on one of my websites and with fantastic IT support from Tony Merryfield I have created a new site for The Family Photographer. I know it’s been a while since I added a blog post, after a busy summer I took some time off and lost myself on a boat on the Norfolk Broads and loved a week away on Rhodes cycling to deserted beaches and eating lots of greek salad. Now I’m back having switched one of my labels from being a ‘smoker’ to being a ‘vaper’ I have also had my haircut and am seriously reconsidering the gym!
So a little piece of news ( which I am really chuffed about) is Nicholas McCarthy (Pianist) has chosen to use one of my images to use on his new album cover Echoes which is out now he is also on tour see more info here.
Sometimes people want to have their picture taken and have a copy of the print on the day at the event, no messing around with trying to find your image on a gallery or other website and then ordering it a few days later. So we now attend corporate events and charity balls and offer an instant print service for our clients who want to offer their guests a little something extra. I am loving taking pics of the children’s reactions at The Colchester Ice Rink and Winter Wonderland in Santa’s Grotto every w.end. The Grotto tickets are all sold out apart from this Weds(9th) evening however you can still buy tickets to go and have tea with Santa – here.

I was delighted when Livability asked me to take pictures of HRH Princess Anne visiting Treetops in Colchester. Livability work with disabled and disadvantaged people to promote choice, independence and opportunity. The charity Livability are trying to raise £190,000 for new equipment in their bathrooms and kitchens of their residents.

I got together with my brilliant make-up artist and hair stylist to do a fun shoot Halloween styley.
Boudoir vous is the name of my website and company name for my Boudoir photography, which in the main is treating women of all shapes and sizes, ages and backgrounds to a fantastic make-over and photography session. Shelly is the hair stylist (picture below) and Chantelle the make-up artist (the girl with the cut throat) they make each client feel like a million dollars by glamming them up or giving them a beautiful soft feminine look. Then the client decide what kinds of images they want and off we go, the service is completely bespoke and unique to each person. At Boudoir Vous we pride ourselves in what we do and every client to date has left the studio smiling and pleased with the results.

What a lovely event to cover at Le Talbooth near Dedham, the evening raised over a £5000 for MS-UK, the weather was glorious, perfect for sipping bubbly on the lawns by the river.

On Tuesday night the doors to The Stockwell officially opened and invited guests were treated to an evening of magical medieval music and dance, sample the delights of Head Chef Dean Light and try their hand at Archery.
