I just wanted to do a little shout out for my studio space in Colchester which I love to hire out to other togs both amateur and professional oh and also students or keen young people.

Its a great space which has four Bowens lights, lots of light modifiers and props, there is also heating, a toilet downstairs and parking beside the building.

At only £25 p/h (min 2hrs hire) I try and make it as affordable as possible for others to use the space and practice their photography skills.

What is Boudoir photography? Well it means different things to different women, basically it’s a photo shoot which is designed specifically around your wishes. For some women they want to have a make-over and have some glamorous style shots in a new outfit or lingerie, for other women its part of a healing road back to recovery after surgery, divorce or struggles with self esteem. Here is a sample of music products I photographed for RATstands company website. The products were shot in the studio against a white background, then cut out onto a transparent background with a subtle shadow added. I also zoom in to each image to tidy up finger prints, dust and any scratches or marks.

Natalie is a musician and composer and needed some bespoke images for her new website, here are a few from our shoot at the studio and Hythe area.

Today I was shooting a client (musician) outside around the area near my studio and as I am setting up the shot considering the composition I became aware of someone in the background attempting to get our attention. He got it! 🙂

I was asked to photograph a second hand watch to be listed on a luxury watch auction site. The watch has never been worn so the plastic protective cover was still over the face and buckle of the watch. The vendor wanted to keep these in place so that any buyer can clearly see that the watch has never been worn.
