Wow that was a busy summer of photography, I am not complaining I have loved every minute of it. My work is so varied it never gets boring one day I am shooting a tiny little newborn only a few days old the next I am taking a portrait of a CEO of a London legal firm. Even the product photography can become absorbing and all consuming, in my work I am a perfectionist so the devil really is in the detail.

Take the Wedding flowers I shoot, its not all about he composition and getting the lighting right, its about every leaf and every petal looking the best it can look.

Life is pretty messy when you look at it close up on your PC screen, leaves and petals have nibbles, holes, growths, fungus, bugs, rips, colour variations all have to spotted,studied and corrected as part of my editing process. I don’t really like gardening but I do love nature and its beautiful patterns and design.

I tried doing a bit of video directly through twitter the other day, this is Thomasin Newton at my studio she is a colour and fashion stylist. We are working on a new exciting venture together so I got her just to chat briefly to me about accessories so I could try out the video. It actually turns out that it doesn’t appear in my gallery on my phone but on my PC I was able to copy and embed the code to my blog, so I will definitely try using it again in the future.

Oh they were so cute and well behaved! I have to admit I do think they look rather dandy in their tie and bandanna. Apparently he looks after her and is the sensible one so it says a bit a bout their personality, I have a few different styles of neck wear which some people love others are just looking for a really nice portrait of their dog either way is fine we always have fun at our doggy shoots. Some of my clients put off having a photo shoot because they are nervous, nervous about what is involved. They are worried about posing, insecure about certain parts of their body, unsure as to what to expect, and may have fears about how their images are shared and the confidentiality of the shoot.

It is completely natural to have all of these concerns, and it is my job as your photographer to reassure you and put your mind at ease.
