It was a pleasure to shoot this scooter and find out more about Britannia Mobility in Colchester. John Waterhouse inspired portraits

I remember standing and staring in awe at the ‘The Lady of Shalott’ when I saw it years ago in a London gallery. It’s a picture I had on my wall when I gave birth to my daughter at home, it’s one of those pictures which has stayed with me through my life. I have always loved the softness of the colours the mystery and the femininity shown in paintings by John Waterhouse. Here are some recent portrait images I took at my studio which were definitely inspired by his beautiful art.

A teenage girl with long auburn hair has her arms gently folded and is looking seriously at the camera. She is wearing a dark green velvet jacket which has red and green patterned strips on it. In her hair she has red berries almost like a crown. Her expression is one of innocence and at the same time strength. Holding herself tall she appears to have a quiet confidence.
A young woman is looking off to the side, she is slim and wears a white lacy dress. Her hair is long down to her waist and is loose blonde hair.
