When the snow fell heavily in Essex before Christmas, I wrapped myself up and took my camera and my very cold fingers over to Essex University to take a few shots of the snowy grounds late afternoon. It was bright but freezing and by the end of the afternoon (which admittedly included some slipping around and colourful language ) I had to abandon the trip due to my battery giving up.

I recently met up with the Wivenhoe Photography group and we decided to go into town to try and capture people out shopping. We met up and all separated in different directions, when you point a camera straight at someone you tend to get a mix of reactions, some people look unhappy about it and avoid you, others move in closer and positively pose…please click on the link to see my other shots.http://www.pbase.com/wakelin/colchester_town Thanks for looking.

A couple of weeks ago Paul Cudmore ( Photographer, Essex ) asked me if I would assist him at another wedding, the images were taken by me but the copyright belongs to PC. Kelly and Steven were married and had their reception at Leez priory in Essex. Steven made a cool entrance with his best man arriving in a Helicopter. It was a beautiful spring day full of smiles, laughter and of course lots of sweets. I will post some more pics up over the next few days.
